Privacy policy.

How I handle the personal data of people who visit this site or contact me, pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Who is the data controller

The controller is Matteo Cassetta (VAT No. 01502370297), based at Via Dante Alighieri 71, 45011 Adria (RO). For any question about your data you can write to me at matteo@matteocassetta.com or call +39 392 3901880.

What data I process and why

This site requires no registration and doesn't profile you. I process personal data only in the cases below.

  • Browsing data

When you visit the site, the provider that hosts it automatically records some technical data (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type), needed to run and protect it. I don't use it to identify you. Legal basis: legitimate interest in ensuring the security and operation of the site (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).

  • Visit statistics

To understand which pages are read and where visits come from, I use Vercel Web Analytics: it measures visits in aggregate form (page visited, referring site, country, browser type, device and operating system), without cookies and without identifying you. Legal basis: legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used in order to improve it (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).

  • Support request form

The name, email and message you write in the form on the IT support page. I use them only to reply to you. Providing them is optional, but without them I can't reply. Legal basis: the data subject's request and pre-contractual measures (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).

  • Phone call booking

If you book from the calendar on the same page, the data you enter (usually name, email, phone number and chosen time) is collected through Calendly and sent to me so I can call you back. Legal basis: the data subject's request and pre-contractual measures (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).

  • Email and phone

If you write to me or call me directly, I use your address, your number and the content of your message to reply. Legal basis: Art. 6.1.b GDPR.

Who I share data with

I don't sell or hand your data to third parties for commercial purposes. I use providers who process it on my behalf, as data processors:

  • Vercel — hosts the site and measures visits in aggregate form (Vercel Web Analytics)
  • Formspree — receives and forwards the support request form
  • Calendly — manages the phone call booking calendar
  • the email service providers that manage my mailbox

Some of these providers are based in, or have infrastructure in, the United States: data transfers outside the European Union take place with the safeguards provided by the GDPR (Articles 44 and following), such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions. Details are in their respective privacy notices.

Cookies

This site doesn't set its own cookies and uses no profiling cookies; visit statistics are collected without cookies (see above). The IT support page embeds Calendly's booking calendar: as a third-party service, Calendly may use its own cookies or similar technologies, according to its own privacy notice (link above).

If in the future I use tools or services that require cookies, I'll update this page and, where needed, ask for your consent.

How long I keep data

I keep messages and contact details for as long as needed to reply and handle your request. If a working relationship begins, for its duration and for the time required by law (for example tax obligations). Then I delete them. Technical browsing data is kept by the hosting provider for short periods.

Your rights

You can ask me for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to processing (Articles 15-22 GDPR), by writing to the contact details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).

Links to other sites

The site contains links to external sites (for example TeamViewer, to download the remote support program, or SG Energia). Each has its own privacy notice and I'm not responsible for it.

Updates

Last updated: October 2026. If the way I process data changes, I update this page. This is a translation of the Italian version, which prevails in case of any discrepancy.
